So lets get this blog post started with a Tokyo Post! On the 16th September 2013, I travelled with my fiance to Tokyo and spent 2 weeks there. It was perfect. Beyond perfect, really. It was so amazing. I knew it would be good, but we didnt know it would be /that/ good.
The view from the plane was breathtaking. We flew into the sunrise and it was /long/ flight. Seriously, the flight almost makes you not want to go back if you think of it too much. 10 hours on a flight, not having much to do, plus I'd freak out a little bit when someone went too close to the doors of the plane (●__●)
We stayed at Sakura Hotel in Ikebukuro and it was a lovely little place. It had all you can eat breakfast for 300 yen (toast, tea and soup) and the rooms were on the small side but enough for what we needed to do - sleep and store our stuff! The room came with a mini fridge and a tv, and you could borrow a hairdryer if you asked! They also gave you slippers and fresh towels each day! It cost about £300 for 2 weeks each, which wasnt too bad!
One good thing about the hotel was that they let you deliver post there! I bought a Girls Award ticket myself and sent it to the hotel (and our Amano Tsuki tickets were being delivered there but only arrived 2 days before the gig /nervous). But the Girls Award ticket was waiting for me when I got there! I nearly cried - you see, Koda Kumi was due to play at this gig, and I got a ticket! (~‾⌣‾)~ Its a dream come true ~
And we went shopping a little bit because we were exhausted omg and didnt want to do much! I'd heard of a shop called Book Off while looking online for some places that sold AKB48 cds and I buy my second hand cds from a guy on ebay and one cd still had the book off sticker on it saying "200 yen", so naturally, I needed to find this place. AND IT WAS HEAVEN ((┌|o^▽^o|┘))♪ Lots of cds for 100-500 yen!
I bought so much from book off on my trip and probably didnt even spend more that 5000 yen on about 20 cds :| And we found closet child! Lots of vk stuff :3 so we bought a few things =w=
Let me leave you with a few pictures of ikebukuro that I took that day!
Next entry; Shibuya and Harajuku! (ノ≧∀≦)ノ
