Day 5 - Tokyo Game Show

When I found out I was in Japan for Tokyo Game Show, I was over the moon! \(*T▽T*)/ next to E3 its been a dream to go there

I bought a ticket for myself and my gf, since she doesnt like games, I thought it was fair for me to pay for her since I was dragging her! I was mostly interested in any news from my favourite game, Metal Gear Solid - nothing was updated until the day before TGS where Kojima tweeted that he was going to do 2 talks when he was there - the business day and the public days. Luckily he mentioned the booth and the times! ヾ(。◕ฺ∀◕ฺ)ノ seeing hideo kojima in Japan seemed totally surreal

So, lets have some pictures shall we?

Outfit shot! Cocolulu bag with metal gear leggings and thermal top! I was all fandom-ed out!

There were /many/ people there!

My ticket! I had to give it up when I got to the door though (┳◇┳)

The PS4 booth. I want a PS4 so bad but Im poor saving up for Japan #2  (。┰ω┰。)

And the main man himself!

( ˘ ³˘)♥ HIDEO KOJIMA ( ˘ ³˘)♥

He did a half an hour presentation of the new metal gear, including a new trailer and 15 minutes gameplay! It was awesome to see it first hand, even though it was in japanese and he made some jokes...in japanese. XD My feet were killing me but it was /so/ worth it. After the presentation, we were hungry but it was so busy and so crowded that I was getting a bit anxious, so we decided to head out to harajuku - on a saturday - to see what it was like! And it was crowded!

We finally got a crepe! They are so delicious 。♥‿♥。)

More gets from book off, animate, tgs and a vending machine hee hee >w<

We found a 24 hour bento place! 500 yen for a chicken katsu curry bento and 100 from a rice ball :D More gets from animate hahah

Next day ; Day 7 - ScReW gig (we didnt do /anything/ on day 6 apart from laundry and hanging around ikebukuro!)

Day 4 - Tokyo Disney

I'd never been to disney when i visited Tokyo. Id been near Disneyland Paris with my hotel for SMTown but that was it!! So, to say I was excited was an understatement, omg. I was jumping up and down on the train ride there. Its only a 40 minute train ride to the location of Disney, and when you see it, oh my, it took my breath away. I felt like a giant kid, but I didnt care. The rides were amazing, and we managed to see the parade!

So without further ado; Pictures! =^● ⋏ ●^=

Quick outfit shot for the day!

The entrance to Tokyo Disneyland (•̀ᴗ•́)و ̑̑

Waiting for the halloween parade! (~˘▾˘)~

Gets for the day! (ノ≧∀≦)ノ
(i overestimated the size of...myself and got a really big shirt. next time im gonna get a smaller one!)

It was such a good day! The staff at the food places were friendly and the food was so cheap! I mean about 500 yen for a drink, fries and a pizza! :D and the merch was cheap too! 1200 yen for a shirt! :D

Next Day ;  Tokyo Game Show

Day 3 - Tokyo - Akihabara/Kamakura/Yokohama

Today was the day I was going to go to the home land of AKB48! Ive been looking forward to this for a long time as AKB48 have been a big part of my life recently ~ the girls are just too cute to ignore (≧∇≦)/

My outfit for the day!

(FYI thats a REALLY big sex shop!)

A few images of me and AKB related things
*(*´∀`*)☆ i didnt go into the cafe ~ next time!

We went from the busy electric town to the temple ridden Kamakura! The gf wanted to see the buddha! So we did!

It was a beautiful place! It was so surreal to be there and to surrounded by such nature, such...culture! The weather was beautiful and the scenery was breathtaking ~

And we found a cute hidden shrine/temple!

(((*°▽°*)八(*°▽°*)))♪ bonus picture
cute couple! ~~~

We decided since we had some time! We travelled to Yokohama to go to the Pokemon Centre ~ a dream place!

After searching for an hour, we found it! It was lovely and everything I thought it would be <3 I bought so much cute stuff!

We also found a cute resturant chain called 270, where, you guessed it, everything was 270 yen! It was all automated, and touch screen. You ordered and the waiter/waitress brought it to you and that was it! Though we kept getting some peas to our table but they were a minimum order haha trying to figure out why we kept getting the peas every time we sat down ~

Gets for the day! ( ・ω・)ノ

Next up; Tokyo Disney

Day 2 - Tokyo - Shibuya/Harajuku

So, we slept for about 14 hours the night before due to being exhausted but we were both ready for the day and excited to travel around and see Tokyo for the first time! And what better place to start than; Shibuya! (*´°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥﹏°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥ )人(´°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥ω°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥`)

We were both excited as this was our first proper day in Tokyo! So i had to get ready (*^▽^*)

This was my outfit for the day! A bit more colourful than I'm used to haha but I wanted to look a bit amekaji! (・∀・)

The trains were really easy to navigate and thats what I was worried about, but we got something called a SUICA card. I recommend this as its really handed! If you get JR Narita express ticket to and from the airport (they stop at the major cities, shibuya, shinjuku, ikebukuro etc) its about 5000 yen for the ticket and 2000 yen on your SUICA - They work like underground oyster cards - you just top up at a machine (in english) and just set off! You can also use the card in stores and vending machines (*¬*) I used it alot for vending machines!

Shibuya 109! I was so happy to finally in this building! Its every womans heaven, and I know Im a little on the large side in Japan (size uk 14/16 and boobs bigger than most japanese peoples heads...) I thought I wouldnt be able to find any clothes that would fit me tbh! I was pleasently surprised! I ended up with quite a few items of clothing from there (GLAD NEWS/XOXO) and accessories from CocoLuLu and GLAVIL - Pictures of those when I get them on those days hahah But this day I bought a cocolulu bag I'd had my eye on for ages online and a GLAVIL necklace! Japanese people are so good at selling things - even to forigners omg. I said to my gf "Aww i might be too big for this clothes" and one GLAVIL girl went "no no no! You are fine,  see baggy!" and pointed to one of the jumpers hahah (´∀`) trying to tempt me to buyyyyy ~ it nearly always worked though! so be careful haha

Tsutaya records had a BIG AKB48 display omg. Their MV collection DVD was out and they were doing promotions - seriously, AKB was heard /everywhere/ (°∀°)b and i LOVED it

Tokyo Disney Store! Now, I've been to a few disney stores in the UK but jfc they go all out for their designs in japan! They even had a spiral staircase going up to castle rooms and had lots of disney goodies! I think I ended up getting my mum some disney earrings from here!

And yes, that is billboard of Kojima Haruna (AKB) in her underwear (⊙ヮ⊙)

And a few picutres from Harajuku! We didnt get a crepe that day, the line was reallly long haha BUT we did find the marvel that is DAISO - its like a Japanese version of Poundland and has ...everything. XD Everything random and everything is 105yen. So I got some make up and its brilliant! We also found Closet Child (with a little bit of difficulty cause the VK shop is down a corner somewhere) and went into BODYLINE. We also found a KPOP store! Thats where most presents came from, and I found an AKB48 photo store (not official obvs but I bought a few pictures and they had unofficial merch and stuff =w= i was in heaven)

My gets for the day! :D i love my BOY cap (▰˘◡˘▰)

Next up; Akihabara/Kamakura

Tokyo Day 1! Flying and discovering Ikebukuro!

So lets get this blog post started with a Tokyo Post! On the 16th September 2013, I travelled with my fiance to Tokyo and spent 2 weeks there. It was perfect. Beyond perfect, really. It was so amazing. I knew it would be good, but we didnt know it would be /that/ good.

The view from the plane was breathtaking. We flew into the sunrise and it was /long/ flight. Seriously, the flight almost makes you not want to go back if you think of it too much. 10 hours on a flight, not having much to do, plus I'd freak out a little bit when someone went too close to the doors of the plane (●__●)

We stayed at Sakura Hotel in Ikebukuro and it was a lovely little place. It had all you can eat breakfast for 300 yen (toast, tea and soup) and the rooms were on the small side but enough for what we needed to do - sleep and store our stuff! The room came with a mini fridge and a tv, and you could borrow a hairdryer if you asked! They also gave you slippers and fresh towels each day! It cost about £300 for 2 weeks each, which wasnt too bad!

One good thing about the hotel was that they let you deliver post there! I bought a Girls Award ticket myself and sent it to the hotel (and our Amano Tsuki tickets were being delivered there but only arrived 2 days before the gig /nervous). But the Girls Award ticket was waiting for me when I got there! I nearly cried - you see, Koda Kumi was due to play at this gig, and I got a ticket! (~‾⌣‾)~ Its a dream come true ~

And we went shopping a little bit because we were exhausted omg and didnt want to do much! I'd heard of a shop called Book Off while looking online for some places that sold AKB48 cds and I buy my second hand cds from a guy on ebay and one cd still had the book off sticker on it saying "200 yen", so naturally, I needed to find this place. AND IT WAS HEAVEN ((┌|o^▽^o|┘))♪ Lots of cds for 100-500 yen!

I bought so much from book off  on my trip and probably didnt even spend more that 5000 yen on about 20 cds :| And we found closet child! Lots of vk stuff :3 so we bought a few things =w=

Let me leave you with a few pictures of ikebukuro that I took that day!

Next entry; Shibuya and Harajuku! (ノ≧∀≦)ノ
